HotPatras app released for the city of Patras

Together with my Ph.D. student, Jeries Besharat, we released a novel mobile and web service for the city of Patras in Greece. The service uses data aggregated from FourSquare and shows users where the "hot" areas in the city are, depending on the day and the time of day. The visualisation uses a heatmap that depicts check-in concentrations over the preceding 2 months, which the users can control, hence being able to plan their activities for any day and time in the week.
