At the ACM MobileHCI'19 Programme Committee Meeting
May 5, 2019

I attended the PC meeting for MobileHCI'19 (Taipei), which took place at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. It was a great opportunity to visit my old place of study, and also to see many familiar colleagues who I haven't caught up with for several years.
Even better, this year was a bit special since it's the first time the conference allowed rebuttals, so it was great to see this practice in action and how it affects the quality of the reviewing process, even when the PC is made up of highly recognised and experienced researchers. Nobody is perfect! I'm delighted that the conference is increasingly moving towards higher quality.
